Footy Nut

Haven't posted for a while... again! Why oh why is christmas ALWAYS so hectic?! Maybe I should be more organised? I did get rather fed up in the end of making Christmas cards... plus my mojo did completely disappear :(

But never mind... because it's back! With Celtic winning the Old Firm derby last night, it inspired me to make my "footy nut" card. Brought a really cute Tilda last week, coloured and cut her out but she had nothing to sit on until today when my wall stamp arrived! :D

Unfortunately, I had already coloured her in in red & white :( much to my disappointment! Could have re-coloured her in green & white (celtic colours) or Claret & Blue (Aston Villa colours) but I thought I would use her anyways... so the end result is this...

Footy Nut
No doubt I will make a load of these now! lol My burgandy pro marker came today too! It's as near as damn it to claret ;) haha so it will do! need to find more football backing paper actually too... here's a close up of Tilda on the wall....

Going to enter this into the following challenge: Simon Says Stamp! - Theme: Anything Goes First time joining in with this one too! I was blog hopping, well being nosey on Mandy's blog! (Check it out, Mandy's blog and creations are AWESOME!) and saw that Mandy is indeed a DT member on there too... Hope to join in a lot more from now on tho...

WOW! what a long post! I'm done now, thanks for popping by and having a read :) toodles! x

I’m Dreaming Of A Claret & Blue Christmas....

So this week, the Papertake Weekly theme is:
"I’m Dreaming Of A  (your fave colour) Christmas.
So all you need to do here is to make a Christmas card or project in YOUR fave  colour theme …. and that’s it!!!"

Well, with my fave colours being that of my fave team, Aston Villa, I wanted to make a card in these colours. One of my orders was for "Baby's 1st Christmas" how fitting that they too are Villa fans!

Humphrey and reindeer
Used Humphrey pulling his reindeer along. The image itself is coloured using promarkers apart for the coat which is stamped onto the snowflake paper, cut and stuck down :)
A simple layout but effective none the less.

Christmas Cards with a difference....

Every year I get asked to make Christmas Cards in the theme of the kids favourite football teams.... and every year I get stuck! But not this year! One Aston Villa (COME ON!) and one Liverpool...

Football Cards
Used the Holte End with the Lion covered in snow for the Aston Villa card and the top of one of the gates at Anfield for the Liverpool card. Pretty pleased with them both to be honest :)
