The Sweet Stop - SSS169

Struggled a bit with this sketch to be honest, but now that I have made my card,
I've got lots of ideas! always the way lol.. large images do work better with this I found.

The card I've made is being entered into The Sweet Stop SSS169 challenge.

So here is my card :

The flower is punched, swirls are die-cut. The image is by Lili of the Valley (LOTV) and has been coloured using, as ever, promarkers. The sentiment reads "especially for you" You can just about make it out in the picture, my poor lighting! lol.

Wish it, dream it, do it.

Went blog hopping to get some inspiration and I came across a blog challenge with the theme of "In the country". Luckily for me, it was a Magnolia blog, as I was hoping to use a Tilda. The colours are from an inspirational pic and the rest is done from imagenation ;) I had a punch ages ago that my Mommyo brought me, used it a few times but used it loads the last couple of cards I made! I do love it tho especially when you can add a little butterfly to sit on the petal.

So without further ado, here it is :

Flowers have been punched out and layered along with the butterflies. I added gems to the centres of the flowers and pearls to the butterflies for bodies. The clouds and swirls have been die cut. The image is 2 stamps which have been layered and coloured using promarkers.

Close up's of detail
So the challenge's I'm entering this creation into are:

Just Magnolia - In the Country
Totally Tilda - Summer Fun
Cupcake Craft Challenge - The Great Outdoors
Magnolia-Licious - Inspiration

Crafts & Me - Anything Goes

So this weeks challenge - Anything Goes.. I have actually used a Crafts & Me image. It's by Hannah Lynn and called "Fragile Heart". Thought I would colour her in cool blues for a change, I get fed up of making pink cards. Even worse when I don't like pink lol.. So here's the card :

Quite simplistic for an 18th Birthday card but I didn't want to go OTT. The bow is a different ribbon to the back ribbon as well. Image has been coloured using promarkers.

Close up of image :

Just Magnolia - In the Garden

Kinda cheated a bit with this one. The card was already pre-made as I had made it for a birthday card last week and decided to change my idea for the little girl, but it fits in perfectly with the Just Magnolia Challenge of In the Garden. The 4 stamps used are all Magnolia stamps too.

So here's the card:

I've used quite a few die-cuts on this card too. The butterflies are punched out along with the leaves. The clouds are die-cut. I love them! They only arrived this morning, so obviously had to use them :)

All the images have been coloured using promarkers in greens and purples. There is no sentiment/greeting on this card. I'll add that when I use the card I think :)

Baby Cards

So a few Baby cards on the agenda today.. must say, everytime I make a baby card, the Lili of the Valley stamps come out to play. I absolutely LOVE them! So the baby cards were for a boy and a girl, Nephew and Niece. Really struggled to start with because I couldn't decide on papers and layouts but finally came up with these...

So the Baby Boy card first.

Image is by Lili of the Valley and is called - Little Ducky

The layout is pretty simple but effective. To tie in with the one challenge I am entering, I have made my own sentiment on both cards. But it's "anything goes" for the other challenge.

Baby Girl card second.

Image is by Lili of the Valley - All Our Dreams

Again a simple layout and very girly! Same as above with the sentiment.

Font used is called "Segoe Script"

On both cards, I have used a ribbon, a bow and card candi.

So the 2 challenges I am entering this post into are:

Papertake Weekly - Make Your Own
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

Creative day today

Was having a creative day today. Still got loads of ideas buzzing round too but here are the other cards I made..

Card One : Diva! Yes, I did draw the swirl and yes I did stick all the gems on individually! Took ages!!

Card Two : Cali Girl...  This image was actually coloured by my Mom. She got all excited when I showed her that I had put the image onto a card :) bless. Just need to add a sentiment.

Card Three : My Guy Ian... a cute & fun boys card.

Sketch Saturday #216

Took a while for me to get my head round the sketch if I'm honest.

The amount of papers I had out was unreal! Think my inspiration had deserted me until I had a light bulb moment. I was conscious of covering up too much of the checked paper then thought, I know.... Vellum! but do you think I could find it?! Well, after half an hour I finally found it!

So here is the card;

The image is "Luscious Linda" by Kenny K. I do love these images.

Hearts are punched out and gems have been added because I thought it looked too plain. I also came across my heart corner peel offs when I was tidying up!

Here's a close up of the hearts & gems;

AVFC

Not entering this into any challenges but wanted to add it to my blog purely because I was very pleased with it! :) (and plus it's my team! ha)

It was for an order for a Grandad who is 75.

Sweet Stop Sketch - SSS165

Great sketch from Sweet Stop Sketch this week, it really did get the mind working!

I had an order in for a birthday card with the theme of Cupcakes & Girly but no too girly... what better stamp to use than a Lili of the Valley "Never To Old For Cupcake!"

So here is the card:

The papers are super shimmery! I even stamped the image onto shimmery card, much to my excitment, it stamped fine!

Here's a close up of the image:

Thanks for popping by :)
