Favourite Embellishment....

This is a tricky one... after much deliberation... It would be safe to say that bows are my favourite embellishment. I'm sure I put a bow on pretty much everything! Apart from mens cards of course.

Crafts and Me challenge this week is... yep, you guessed it... Favourite Embesllishment.

Here's my card with my favourite embellishment on it:

card
Could possibly say that pearls/gems are also a fave embellishment. Go through packs of them!

The image I have used is called "April" She's been coloured with promarkers. I think the layout is from a past sketch challenge, not sure where from tho!

Definitely done now.. No posts for a few days :)

Shoes!!

Wow! I was top 5 in the Fab 'n' Funky challenge last week :D Thank You so much!

This week's Fab 'n' Funky challenge is... SHOES.

So this is what I've come up with...

Aston Villa Baby Shoes!

baby shoes
These are for a baby's christening. The parents are big Villa fans (for all our sins mind!) So rather than doing white with a hint of blue shoes, I decieded to do these. They are completely made out of card, using peel offs and brads. They're quite easy to do, just a bit hard manipulating the bottoms to sit flush to the sole. The back of the box does have info on as well.

That's me done... One more quick post then I'm off to Glasgow for the Celtic match tonight! Exciting!

Miss Anya

Final post for this evening. I really do need to make some fairies! (I keep putting it off)

Thought I'd go with something different. Every card I seem to make, it involves the colour black. As it is, I've ran out of black card so I have no choice! lol...

Onto the card. A Miss Anya image for this one, with some glittery backing paper.

The Card
I used extra pearls and gems on the boots, bag and bobbles on her hair.

The Image
I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

1. One Stop Craft - Sparkle & Bling
2. Sunday Sketch & Stamp - Carole's Sketchy #141

Another Tilda..

Does anyone else have loads of stamps/images and when you make a card, you never know what image to use?!

I've done exactly that!! Had already coloured her in with the colour scheme in mind, but never got round to making the card. But today, I have.

The reason behind the colour scheme is because of "The Bhoys in Green"..... Celtic.

The Bhoys in Green
 Love those bhoys!

So, there's 2 challeneges this week for "favourite colour combo" so I've gone with green & white.

The card
The 2 challenges I'm entering into are:

Off to tidy up... you can not see the desk!

Hello there Tilda...

Feel like I've negelected my Tilda's of late.. So I thought I'd use some on my cards today.

First card up is one for my lil Cousin for her 10th Birthday. Tilda has been coloured to look like her, as she does. Plus, if my lil cousin could wear a dress everyday like a princess, I think she would!

So onto the card, must say, do love a bracket card.

Tilda has been coloured using promarkers. The card is slightly darker than it looks. The pink backing paper is glittered too.

Vintage

Another Kenny K coming up..

This one is vintage for the Kenny K challenege.. well kind of. Wanted to use neutral tones for this card. I had already infact coloured the image in, with my spotty papers in mind. I have actually used 3 different coloured spotty paper, although 2 are very similar. The image used is called "Socialite"

The flowers and pearls are twisted together and stuck onto the ribbon. The bow has been attatched by using a brad. No greeting yet as I like to personalise my cards :)

A Little Flapper....

Hello!

How is everyone enjoying the snow? We are forecast more here in Birmingham tonight. Lovely.

Had a bit of a mind blank today, or maybe it was the fact that I had too many ideas floating round my head?! Either way, I only got 2 cards done. The first one I did was the one this post is about... A Little Flapper....

Full Card

Isn't she super cool?!

She's a Kenny K digi coloured in and cut out. I was in two minds whether to glitter up her feather boe but decided against it. (I'd made enough mess already!) Me being a bright spark by deciding to use feathers....... fail!! I hate feathers with a passion! I hate the feel of them, so out came the rubber gloves! I'm glad I used them tho. Adds a bit more detail.

The challenges I'm entering my card into are the following:

1. Cute Card Thursday - Diamonds are forever...
~ These are on her head dress, around the oval and the brad on the bow ~

2. Charisma Cards - Punch it! Use at least 2 punches
~ I have used a cirlce punch for the sentiment, a circle punch for the surrounding circle, a heart punch which is under the ribbon bow and a Martha Stewart border punch ~

3. The Sketchy Challenges - Karen's Sketch

Here are some pics of the details:

Going Gothic!

LOVE the Kenny K challenge this week of Going Gothic!

A pre-coloured image that I can finally use! Wahay! Although, I do have more than one pre-coloured image that I could use, but I went with Kitty Katastrophe. She is one cool lass...

When I think of gothic, I always think of dark colours, blacks, grey, red, purple... I thought I'd do someat a little different and went for cyan, black & purple. Still looks gothic tho. I also when for a bit of glitter card rather than using "flat" card. The panel that Kitty is on, is purple card embossed with black ink rubbed over the top to pick out the embossing.

It needs a greeting but not decided yet on said greeting. I'll probably add that at a later date.
Kitty is also raised from the panel too.

Here's a close up...

The lighting in both pictures is completely different! Oh well...

Spotlight

Good Night!

The snowing is falling here thick and fast. I for one, love it! I know a lot hate it but not me... I'd rather it snow than rain to be honest. Least you don't get as wet in snow :)

Anyways, onto my post. This, I have never done before, but I must say, I'll be using this technique again!

So the card itself, I originally started making it for the Miss Anya challenge but forgot to upload the pic in time.. But then I seen the My Time To Craft! challenge of "Spotlight Technique" Perfect!

Here it is:

Black, White + One.

Another card using Alice Mae.. I'm sure there will be a few more over the weekend. That's what you get for having pre-coloured images! Takes a bit of time out of the making process though :)

So, the card itself...

Full card
Quite a simple design but yet such a versatile one. I will definitely be using this layout again!
The gingham paper and the glitter card is actually turquoise in colour. (I think I had too much light on the card). The black and white panel is a piece of linen card embossed, with an ink pad run over the top.

 Challenges I'm entering into:

1. Mojo Monday - 275 Contest
2. Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Black/White + a splash of colour

Off to make another card.. might make a blue one as all the challenges are "January Blues"....

Red Head Mae

Ah, I'm doing well... 2nd post this week!

Straight into it then... How adorable is this image?! If you haven't checked out the Some Odd Girl site, please do check it out here. They do rubber stamps and digi's. Although not so sure you will be able to decide what to purchase! I always have trouble. They are just to lovely!

So, the card I've made I'm entering into 2 challenges, one being a sketch and the other being a theme. Struggled with the sketch, contemplated turning it around but changed my mind.

Full Card
Quite a vibrant card but looking at it now... not sure I like the blue gingham?! Oh well, nout I can do about it!

So the challenges:

1. Sweet Sketch Wednesday - Sketch #188-89
2. Papertake Weekly - "Happy New...."

For the "Happy New...." I have used my new ultimate pro board to get the oval, new brads & new stamp. She is also a newish image.

Close up.

Enough rambling, I'm off to make some fairies...
