My Time To Craft DT - No Design Papers

Good Morning!

Any easier challenge over at My Time To Craft this week.Well, I think it is anyways...

"No Design Papers"

I tend to flit between using spotty/stripy papers to none at all and using embossing folders. So this challenge was an easy one for me.

I've used an embossing folder for the background. I do love the effect you get with embossing folders. The image I had coloured a while ago so I used it. I love the simple, elegant backgrounds with art deco images. Of course had to add a ribbon n bow, pearls and a few flowers. I'm happy with it, it must have been okay cuz my mother has claimed it to give to her friend!

Good luck with the cfhallenge. Will be interesting to see the different outcomes.

My Time To Craft DT - Tile Effect

Hello there!

A challenging challenge over at My Time To Craft today.
I did struggle with this a lilly until I had a lightbulb moment lol.

The challenge is

"Tile Effect"

Cut your image up into tiles & stick back down. Kinda like a mosaic effect

This is what I came up with:

Once I'd had my lightbulb moment, it was pretty much plain sailing. I was struggling cuz I didn't want to cut up an image that I'd just coloured! But I think this works. The red spotty paper is actually part of a papermania Christmas pack. Who said christmas papers were only for christmas?! The green panel behind the rose is embossed, You can just see it I think. I'd definitely use this effect again. I might try another flower....

Can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with!

My Time To Craft DT - Outdoor Sports

Good Morning!

What a lovely morning it is here.
It's another saturday so that means another challenge over at My Time To Craft.

This weeks challenge is

"Outdoor Sports"

I've gone with my favourite... Football!
I am a bit of a footy fan, I support 2 teams, have a season ticket at the one but watch almost any football. Any rugby, and motor racing, BTCC & F1. Basically, I'm a bit of a tomboy lol.
Anyways, onto my card,

This super cute image is from Some Odd Girl. Perfect for all those little tomboys! Unfortunately, the wrong colours for me lol. I wnated to go with something bright so the orange was perfect! You get used to using the same colours all the while. She has been layered as well. I drew/coloured the background on. It's okay for someat quick. The "You're a Winner!" is a stamp that I have in set with dies as well. Of course, I had to get some twine in there some where ;)

A longish post from me today. Hope you can come play along.

My Time To Craft DT - A Recipe

Good Morning!

Straight in to the post this morning. This weeks challenge over at My Time To Craft is...

"A Recipe"

You need to pick THREE of the following:

2 images
stripy design paper
3 or more eyelets
double bow (ribbon, twine, cord etc)
gate fold
easel card
blue
3 flowers
3 buttons

I've used:

3 buttons, stripy paper and a double bow.

A pretty simple layout because I didn't want to over complicate it. The Gorjuss Girl is coloured using Spectrum Noir pens. I've tied black ribbon and twine together to add a hint of purple. The spotty background is purple to match the spots on her dress. The tiny little buttons are also spotty.

A quick post from me today.. have a fun day!

My Time To Craft DT - Art Deco

Well Hello Everyone!
I hope you are all well.

It's been a while! I had a nasty virus on my pc and had to get it fixed.
Hopefully, it should be okay now, fingers crossed!

But.... I'm back to join in on the challenges, wahay!

So, the challenge over at My Time To Craft this week is.... Art Deco!
One of my favourite subjects. I do love Art Deco and Art Nouveux.

Here's my card:

The image is a Kenny K image called Socialite. She's been coloured using Spectrum Noir pens. Now, I cut her out with my nesties and I wanted to give her a sparkly edge. I wanted a black sparkly edge but low and behold, all colours of glitters except black! Bummer, but I think the silver works just as good.  The backing papers are out of another kit I have, I do believe it's a Papermania kit. Added some flowers and pearls. I didn't use twine this time! Proud of myself.  Senitment was printed off the pc, I think the font is called Park Life. It's a cool Art Deco font!

Thanks for popping by..
