Geeky Mae

I absolutely LOVE the girlies from Some Odd Girl
They do fit pretty much any occasion and are suitable for any age.
The boys are very cute too :)

So, the card itself is for Fay, she has Gok style glasses and loves pale blue. Perfect!

The image has been coloured using Spectrum Noir pens. Fabulous. They blend so well. The "13" was printed and cut out by hand. It's the design to look a little rough around the edges ;)
The layout is from the Papertake Weekly Challenge which I'm entering this card into, Sketch #84.
I didn't think spots, stripes, gingham and stars would go but I'm pretty happy with it.

Here's a few more photos:

So hoping Fay will like it!

Black & Gold

A little bit of "glam" on this wet and windy morning.

And something a bit different.
I very rarely use another colour backing card, it's usually white but it just did not go with the concept.

I'm entering this into the Cute Card Thursday Challenge which is "Sparkles". My interpretation of sparkles is usually glitter and beens there is a lot of glitter on this card, it should definitely sparkle.
The dress itself is actually a rubber stamp image which I cut round on the black card and gold glitter card. Absolute nightmare!! The lettering are die cuts and embossing folders used as the background.

Close up of dress
The little corsage is a punched out flower with twisted wire and a large pearl.
Adds a bit of class.

Thanks for popping by...

Less is More - Use Twine or String

Wow! It's been a while since I updated this..

So first post up is the Less is More challenge of using Twine or String. I've used twine.
The image is from Tiddly Inks and has been coloured using Copics and promarkers. I tend to mix my mediums.

I must admit, at first I didn't get the "Less is More" idea but the more you make, the more you like it. I'm now in the process of making my Christmas cards this way :)

Off to crack on with some Christmas cards. Lovely!
