Stamptacular Sunday Challenge

Hello everyone..

I seem to hit n miss with my posting. Had quite a few busy weeks. Lot's of new die's so have been cutting them all out. In between I did manage to make a few cards (this being one of them). Luckily for me, I made this card which fits perfectly in with the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge, which is:

"This week's challenge is a…
“Not Just An ORDINARY Card!”

For this weeks challenge you will create a card that is out of the ordinary and not traditional!  No FLAT cards allowed!  This week's card should pop-up, stand up, turn into a box, slide, twist, etc...!  Oh…and don’t forget to stamp!  After all, we don’t call this STAMPtacular for nothing!"
So my card is as follows:
It's a stepper card with the image over the left. Image is by Lili of the Valley and is coloured using pro markers. Trees are my new die's, cut out of white shimmer card. Flowers, Bow, pearls and glittery twizzly spirals. I had lots of fun making them! Although the glitter went everywhere!!
Anyone wondering about the background... I run the card through the printer so the background is printed straight onto the card itself. Saves faffing around.
A few pics of the details.

 Enough jabbering...

Ruby Anniversary

Afternoon..

Right, where to start... Oh yes, the order that I'm about to blog about.....
Now, I'm not one to really make cards from toppers, but when my mate asked if I could make her Mum & Dad's Ruby Anniversary card, from her, I said "Sure, why not" Had a lot of ideas flying round my head, but then my mate said "I've got a topper" Well... woah! Safe to say, I don't like toppers. I find that sometimes you are limited with colours n patterned papers that you can use.. But, after receiving the topper, all was not lost. I'm happy with the end result anyway :)

Wanted to do, let's say... not a normal shaped card, well, the topper wouldn't have fit anyways! So, I went with an 8" by 8" scallop edged card and an A4 box!

So, without much more rambling, here is the finished card:

I'm going to enter this into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge which is

USE DIES and/or PUNCHES

So, my punched items are the leaves and hearts and my die items are the swirl and "40" number.
Think I've rambled on enough now....

My Guy Ian & Paper Piecing

Hello Everyone,
Been a while since I last posted anything.. been busy making die-cuts up for my eBay shop. Those little fairies are so fiddly! But anyways, had a text for a Boy's 18th Birthday card.. And what better image to use than "My Guy Ian" from the Miss Anya range..

So the challenge from Cute Card Thursday is as follows :

"Challenge 238 - Paper Piecing

This week we want to see cards/projects featuring paper piecing somewhere on them...can be a little or a lot..."

The paper piecing on my card is pretty much Ian's clothing. The jeans are the same colour as the background is mounted on. His t-shirt is the kraft card backing and his shirt is the stripey paper. I didn't think it would stand out against the "check" of the image but it works.. I think...

So, without further ado, here's my card:

Complete Card
I did "roll" the image as well so that it stands up against the card n used 2 foam pads to attach it to the card.

Here are some of the details close up:

Thanks for popping by... I think this has inspired me..

What can you do with 2 pieces of card.....

It's amazing what you can do with 2 pieces of card!

So 1 piece of white and 1 piece of blue card, 2 brads, some peel offs & PVA glue turns into these...

Boots & Box

Boots in Box

Boots
Not the best team to support mind! But they turned out pretty good :)

They are pretty easy to make after you've cut all the bits out. Bit tricky when it comes to glueing them altogether but they are something a little different.
