MTTC DT - Paper Piecing

Good Morning!

Back this week with an awesome new challenge over at My Time To Craft - Link is HERE.
The challenge is "Paper Piecing" I actually LOVE this technique!

I've used a super cute Tiddly Inks image - Link to shop is HERE.
I thought I would use the check papers that I found at the bottom of the drawer for this card. I also wanted to paper piece her dress... it was less fiddly than the other images LOL!
Her Skin and hair have been coloured using Spectrum Noir pens. Sentiment printed off the PC.

I hope you stop by the blog :)

CWWC DT - Paper Piecing

Good Morning!

Super quick post from me this morning. Been a busy busy busy weekend!

A brand new challenge over at Crafting When We Can - this week its Paper Piecing and we are sponsored by the awesome Oddball Art Co.

I've had the pleasure of using the adorable image of Nixie The Pixie which can be found HERE. I've coloured the image with Spectrum Noir pens and paper pieced the mushrooms and her dress. For the backing I used larger spotty paper to what I paper pieced. Of course I had to get a ribbon and bow in it too ;)

As I say, super quick post from me. I hope you'll join in with the challenge

Catherine....

Been a while since I used a SOG image, bearing in mind I have a folder full of them which are waiting to be coloured! Always the way...
So the image is called "Sway Mae" from Some Odd Girl.

Full Card
I have paper pieced her dress, shoes and bow but coloured in the stripe on her dress. The flowers are punched out of cordinating card. I resisted the ribbon and bow this time but I have used twine instead.

Mae
 Two challenges for this card:

1. Crafty Cardmakers - Paper Piecing
2. Creative Craft Challenges - Receipe - 1 image, 2 patterned papers & 3 flowers.

Thanks for popping by...

JOY

My first christmas card of the year... WOW!
By the time end of November comes, I'm fed up with them, lol.

The image on this is super cute, it's from the Meoples range at C.C Designs.
So, a little less traditional with the colours as well, (I for one don't like pink!) but I know the intended recipient will love it.

Full Card
The "JOY" and the bobble hat have been cut from the backing paper and the blue card used for the matt and layering. Perfect for the Crafty Catz Challenge of Paper Piecing. A bit of twine plus a nice big double snowflake to finish it off.

Think I will be hunting for the "NOEL" Snowmen now... hmmmm... where did I put them?!

Papertake Weekly - Ribbons & Pearls

Second post of the day then...
This time, our attentions are on the Papertake Weekly Challenge, which is :

 "Ribbons & Pearls"
… so all you have to do is include either / or or both somewhere on your card on project.

I've used both, plus some other details. I am actually pleased with the outcome. I didn't think the papers matched the backing paper but I works.

So, here is the card in question:

Totally love the "Some Odd Girl" digi's. They are soooo versatile. The card itself is quite simple but the details make it elegant. The Heart the couple are holding has been printed onto the same backing paper and has been cut out. The same with the girl's headband. Image has been coloured using promarkers.

Think I'll be using this image again! You can find the shop here - Some Odd Girl

Second post done... on to the next.
