MTTC DT - Recipe

EEEEEKKK!!!
My post is a week late because nothing I was making I was liking!! Then I came across this little cute bee and hey presto! Job done!
So, the challenge over at MTTC is fortnight - you have a week left now - us a recipe of 1 die-cut, 2 images & 3 flowers - link for blog is HERE
So my die cut is the scallop with the inside, my images are one bee that's been pasted and flipped over so there's now two and my 3 yellow flowers. I added a ribbon too as it looked a little bland :-/
The little bee's are from Melonheadz I think and have been coloured in using Spectrum Noir pens :)
A super quick post from me this week. Next week we will be back with another super challenge so please do stop by the blog :) enjoy!

MTTC DT - New Baby

Good Morning!

A super cute challenge over at MTTC this week... New Baby!
Gave me chance to print off my baby meople digis..

Typical baby boy card.. lots of blue and cuteness. The backing paper is chevrons and the white is embossed with a swiss dots embossing folder. Circles are die-cut and the image has been cut out too.
The image I've used is from the Meoples range from C.C Designs but you can longer get them is digi format :(

A super cute and easy challenge, we do hope you'll join in!

My Time To Craft DT - Zentangle

Morning!
Up bright and early today. I'm too excited! Going to watch the football team I support this evening play our local rivals in the 2nd of two matches playing them this week. We beat them on Tuesday night and I'm hoping we do the same again today!

Anyways, enough about football (I'm so not girlie!) We have a new challenge over at MTTC this week and it certainly was a challenge...

"Zentangle"

I had no idea what or how to zentangle but after looking on YouTube I found a lot of help and came up with this

Wanted to keep the card simple with the emphasis on the zentangle. I've used washi tape for extra detail on the back. I had a lot of fun doing this technique. I would say tho, use a fine pen rather than a sakura pen that I used.

Looking forward to see what everyone comes up with!

My Time To Craft DT - Lace

Another Saturday... Another challenge over at MTTC.
This weeks challenge is

"Lace"
So use any kind of lace on your creations.

I struggles with this. One - because I couldn't find any inspiration, Two - because I had the smallest piece of lace in my stash ever!! I think I've pulled it off though...

A CAS card from me this week.. in all fairness, what could I do with that tiny piece of lace?! LOL
I've used a Tiddly Inks image called Sweet Tooth which can be found HERE and coloured her with spectrum noirs. I also coloured the gems in with the noir pens, they were silver. They don't take long to dry either to be fair. I did originally decide to make an ATC but thougth it would work quite well on this card. Gave me an excuse to use my wooden words too!

Will be interesting seeing all your lace creations. Enjoy :)

Crafting When We Can DT - Stitching

Good Morning!
I hope it's not too wet and windy where you are in the UK.

Another fab challenge over at CWWC this fortnight, which is

Stitching - Real or Faux

We are sponsored for this challenge by Oddball Art Co. They have a store on Etsy which can be found HERE. I've been given the image of Starlynn Queen to use and this is what I've come up with

I've coloured using spectrum noir pens and used nesties to cut her out on the circle. I wanted to colour her a little different to I usually do, I usually play safe. Decided to colour the hair a similar shade of pink to the glitter backing paper I've used. I've also gone for Faux stitiching around the backing paper. Added some washi tape and twine.

I hope you can stop by and play along!

Crafting When We Can DT - Clean & Simple

Good Morning!

Hope everyone is okay and the weather isn't too bad where you are. It's pretty dull and wet where I am. We just haven't had any snow yet...

That's a nice tie in to the new challenge over at CWWC this fortnight.
Clean & simple is the challenge and we are sponsored by

I've used the image Christmas Decor which can be found HERE.

The image has been coloured using promarkers. I may add some glitter to it as well. I'll update the post if I do :) I've used a snowflake embossing folder for the background and added some red gems to contrast with the green layering and the green ribbon.

A super quick post from me today. Enjoy the challenge!

My Time To Craft DT - No Design Papers

Good Morning!

Any easier challenge over at My Time To Craft this week.Well, I think it is anyways...

"No Design Papers"

I tend to flit between using spotty/stripy papers to none at all and using embossing folders. So this challenge was an easy one for me.

I've used an embossing folder for the background. I do love the effect you get with embossing folders. The image I had coloured a while ago so I used it. I love the simple, elegant backgrounds with art deco images. Of course had to add a ribbon n bow, pearls and a few flowers. I'm happy with it, it must have been okay cuz my mother has claimed it to give to her friend!

Good luck with the cfhallenge. Will be interesting to see the different outcomes.

My Time To Craft DT - Frame It!

Good Morning!

First post for me for a few weeks over at MTTC. With blogger/pc playing up and not being well, I didn't have a card for last weeks challenge but I'm back this week!

Over at My Time To Craft, we have the challenge of "Frame It!" and boy did I struggle with this!
I knew what I wanted to do but just couldn't get the end result, so I decided to try something else.

Here's what I got:

I do love these cute little lasses from Some Odd Girl. I think this one is called "Heartsy Mae".
I wanted a non-traditional looking lass hence the blue hair! LOL. I rarely use pink and blue together but it worked so it's all good. Mae is coloured by using Spectrum Noirs. And yano me, of course some twine snuck on my card! The frame is cut from the Spellbinders Nesties. I added some pearls and flowers to make the card a little more girly as I used my brick embossing panel for the background. Senitment is computer generated.

I do hope you can come play along. I'm off to hunt for ideas for Mother's Day cards.
I have 3 to do..... eeeek!

My Time To Craft DT - Sympathy

Morning everyone!
Hope you are all well.

I'm off away for the weekend for my Sister-in-Law to be's hen weekend. So this may be a short/quickish post from me.

A subject I always get stuck with for the challenge over at My Time To Craft which is

"Sympathy"

It's a hard subject at the best of times but I wanted to keep the card CAS (Clean And Simple).

A few die-cuts, a bit of embossing, of course there was going to be some twine in there somewhere  and some pearls. The flower and leaf is actually a punch but the ovals and swirl are die-cuts.

Told you it was a short/quick post! Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Don't forget to stop by the blog

My Time To Craft DT - White on White Christmas Card

Hello everyone! Hope You are all well.

Time for another challenge over at My Time To Craft. This week the theme is...

"White on White Christmas Card"

This means that the card is all white apart from the image.

For my card, I've used dies to cut out a winter scene. I also embossed the card around the scene in a snowflake embossing folder. And of course, no christmas card is complete without a snowflake!

Here's my card:

Full Card
I have used a glitter pen on the winter scene to show the sparkling snow and I added some "stars" to the blue so it looks more like a starry night. The sentiment is printed from the pc. A few white pearls have been added to finish off the card. I think my Mom has pinched it to give to her friend this christmas!

Greeting and Snowflake
Please come by the blog and play along....

White on White with a splash of Green...

Good Evening everyone..

It's gone very cold here all of a sudden and awfully foggy too. A good time to keep warm by crafting! Although, you can't currently see my desk! Ooops...

Anyhows, onto the post.
Today I've made a couple of cards using White on White with a Splash of Green.. I've done an A5 version and a 5x7" version. Will pop a pic in the post of both. So I'm going to enter the Love to Create challenge which is... yep.. you guessed it... White on White with a Splash of Green.
Without any further ramblings, here is my card...

Full Card
Usually, I emboss the top layer with a snowflake embossing folder, but I thought I'd leave it blank. I'm undecided whether I perfer it embossed or not. The winter scene is a die cut which has been layered up with a cvouple of punched snowflakes. Added a few pearls and bit of ribbon and done. It's a pretty quick card to make but effective.

Here's a closer pic of the winter scene,

Winter Scene & Greeting
Now here's the 5x7 version. I only used one layer of the winter scene on this one as I didn't want to cover up the backing paper.

5x7 Version

Still have two christmas cards left to do with no idea what to put on them!

Catherine....

Been a while since I used a SOG image, bearing in mind I have a folder full of them which are waiting to be coloured! Always the way...
So the image is called "Sway Mae" from Some Odd Girl.

Full Card
I have paper pieced her dress, shoes and bow but coloured in the stripe on her dress. The flowers are punched out of cordinating card. I resisted the ribbon and bow this time but I have used twine instead.

Mae
 Two challenges for this card:

1. Crafty Cardmakers - Paper Piecing
2. Creative Craft Challenges - Receipe - 1 image, 2 patterned papers & 3 flowers.

Thanks for popping by...

Less is More - Use Twine or String

Wow! It's been a while since I updated this..

So first post up is the Less is More challenge of using Twine or String. I've used twine.
The image is from Tiddly Inks and has been coloured using Copics and promarkers. I tend to mix my mediums.

Full Card
I must admit, at first I didn't get the "Less is More" idea but the more you make, the more you like it. I'm now in the process of making my Christmas cards this way :)

Lighthouse
Off to crack on with some Christmas cards. Lovely!

Something New

Good Morning..  Hope you all had a great christmas & fab new year too.  We are finally back with a new challenge over at My Time ...
