Creative Inspirations GDT - Anything Goes

Morning Peeps!

My last post as the GDT over at Creative Inspirations. I've loved playing along for the last 3 challenges and working with Natalie.

So the challenge this time round is

Anything Goes + Option of a sketch.

I haven't used the sketch as I'm going to show you a card I made for a 1st Birthday...

Full Card

This cute little bear is from The Digi Stamp Boutique. They do have some lovely cute little bears. I've coloured this bear in claret and blue as it's for a little Villa fan. Awesome Team!! LOL. His been coloured using Spectrum Noir pens. His balloon has been layered up and a die cut "1" has been stuck on top. "Oscar" is also die cut and of course a bit of twine and a button.

All my christmas cards are finished now.... YESSSSS!!!! Back to making everyday cards now :)

Have a lovely christmas everyone

Shoes!!

Wow! I was top 5 in the Fab 'n' Funky challenge last week :D Thank You so much!

This week's Fab 'n' Funky challenge is... SHOES.

So this is what I've come up with...

Aston Villa Baby Shoes!

baby shoes
These are for a baby's christening. The parents are big Villa fans (for all our sins mind!) So rather than doing white with a hint of blue shoes, I decieded to do these. They are completely made out of card, using peel offs and brads. They're quite easy to do, just a bit hard manipulating the bottoms to sit flush to the sole. The back of the box does have info on as well.

That's me done... One more quick post then I'm off to Glasgow for the Celtic match tonight! Exciting!

Another Tilda..

Does anyone else have loads of stamps/images and when you make a card, you never know what image to use?!

I've done exactly that!! Had already coloured her in with the colour scheme in mind, but never got round to making the card. But today, I have.

The reason behind the colour scheme is because of "The Bhoys in Green"..... Celtic.

The Bhoys in Green
 Love those bhoys!

So, there's 2 challeneges this week for "favourite colour combo" so I've gone with green & white.

The card
The 2 challenges I'm entering into are:

Off to tidy up... you can not see the desk!

Footy Nut

Haven't posted for a while... again! Why oh why is christmas ALWAYS so hectic?! Maybe I should be more organised? I did get rather fed up in the end of making Christmas cards... plus my mojo did completely disappear :(

But never mind... because it's back! With Celtic winning the Old Firm derby last night, it inspired me to make my "footy nut" card. Brought a really cute Tilda last week, coloured and cut her out but she had nothing to sit on until today when my wall stamp arrived! :D

Unfortunately, I had already coloured her in in red & white :( much to my disappointment! Could have re-coloured her in green & white (celtic colours) or Claret & Blue (Aston Villa colours) but I thought I would use her anyways... so the end result is this...

Footy Nut
No doubt I will make a load of these now! lol My burgandy pro marker came today too! It's as near as damn it to claret ;) haha so it will do! need to find more football backing paper actually too... here's a close up of Tilda on the wall....

Going to enter this into the following challenge: Simon Says Stamp! - Theme: Anything Goes First time joining in with this one too! I was blog hopping, well being nosey on Mandy's blog! (Check it out, Mandy's blog and creations are AWESOME!) and saw that Mandy is indeed a DT member on there too... Hope to join in a lot more from now on tho...

WOW! what a long post! I'm done now, thanks for popping by and having a read :) toodles! x

Christmas Cards with a difference....

Every year I get asked to make Christmas Cards in the theme of the kids favourite football teams.... and every year I get stuck! But not this year! One Aston Villa (COME ON!) and one Liverpool...

Football Cards
Used the Holte End with the Lion covered in snow for the Aston Villa card and the top of one of the gates at Anfield for the Liverpool card. Pretty pleased with them both to be honest :)

A Villa Card

Lucky me yesterday....... got to see the boys in Claret & Blue play and got to make a Villa card. I do love to make my footy cards!

So was for my mate's fella who turned 30 last week. Was a very quick card but turned out good to be honest. I'm sure it will stay up on the shelf much to the disgust of my mate! hahaha

West Bromwich Albion Card.....

I do LOVE to make my footy cards, but this one did me HEAD IN!!!

It's A4 in size, wanted to do something a bit different as it's for a 50th Birthday. Tried everything and nothing looked right. Then had a light bulb moment!

*PING*

Cut out a 'window' and put the badge in here. It's called an appeture I think?! (don't quote me on that tho!)

I thought it looked a little plain in all fariness, but everyone said it looked fine and my mate came to pick it up and loved it! Wahay! :)

I said "tell Chris I said "Happy Birthday" for tomorrow and Up The Villa!" hahaha

going a bit off topic..... all things AVFC

Well then, how good was it to be back watching the boys in Claret & Blue?! Didn't realise I missed football THAT much!!

Me and Mom sat behind the goal to the left. Such a good view (especially of Shay Given!) Was sruurounded by a few undesireables but they made the atmosphere to be fair. I'm sure the guy in front of me did not stop chanting through the whole game!! Haha

For a small stadium, Walsall is a great atmosphere. It's a one tier stadium apart form the Floors-To-Go stand which is two tiers. All the AVFC fans were in good spirits. We took up two stands and a block but could easily have filled more! Attendance was 7,000 (a bit different to Villa Park!) We were far superior with support for our team tho.

Given was a sure fire hit with the fans. Got an outstanding applaud from us lot with us chanting "GIVEN!! GIVEN!!" But the guy is gorgeous!! It pains me to say this but Stephen Ireland was looking sharp last night!! Seemed to have the right attitude as well. And we welcomed back the one and only Stephen Warnock!! I actually LOVE this guy!! We were all chanting at him also. Love it when the players recognise the fans and applaud us :)

Got a few new chants to learn.... caught hold of a few. One was superb and will be muchly used when Downing returns to Villa Park with Liverpool! Looking forward to that!

I've read somewhere this morning in the papers today, that us fans are being criticised for not accepting Alex McLeish as our new manager... this is complete crap! Granted there were no "McLeish's Claret and BLue Army!" chants but still there was nothing negative about the football being played.... (we will leave out the 2 sitters The Fonz missed!)

We were there to see our Claret and Blue Boys Play... and we did just that!
'villa till I die cuz I'm villa till I die!'

finally some VILLA cards....

Well, well, well...... finally I get to make 2 VILLA cards!! Wooohoooo!! Don't get me wrong, love making my footy cards but they have all been teams I don't support :( but finally someone order 2 VILLA cards :D

Bit of a weird order tho, a4 card is crest n back of shirt with no.6 n Dave... a good number to choose as it is Mr. Downing's number ;) and 2nd card was a picture if Villa Park with crest.

I'm happy with the cards tho, turned out well.

Up the VILLA!!
