My Time To Craft DT - White on White Christmas Card

Hello everyone! Hope You are all well.

Time for another challenge over at My Time To Craft. This week the theme is...

"White on White Christmas Card"

This means that the card is all white apart from the image.

For my card, I've used dies to cut out a winter scene. I also embossed the card around the scene in a snowflake embossing folder. And of course, no christmas card is complete without a snowflake!

Here's my card:

Full Card
I have used a glitter pen on the winter scene to show the sparkling snow and I added some "stars" to the blue so it looks more like a starry night. The sentiment is printed from the pc. A few white pearls have been added to finish off the card. I think my Mom has pinched it to give to her friend this christmas!

Creative Inspirations GDT - Anything Goes

Morning Peeps!

My last post as the GDT over at Creative Inspirations. I've loved playing along for the last 3 challenges and working with Natalie.

So the challenge this time round is

Anything Goes + Option of a sketch.

I haven't used the sketch as I'm going to show you a card I made for a 1st Birthday...

Full Card

This cute little bear is from The Digi Stamp Boutique. They do have some lovely cute little bears. I've coloured this bear in claret and blue as it's for a little Villa fan. Awesome Team!! LOL. His been coloured using Spectrum Noir pens. His balloon has been layered up and a die cut "1" has been stuck on top. "Oscar" is also die cut and of course a bit of twine and a button.

All my christmas cards are finished now.... YESSSSS!!!! Back to making everyday cards now :)

Have a lovely christmas everyone

My Time To Craft DT - Christmas Birds

Morning!
Another cold one here. I'm hoping it's not too cold tomorrow as I'm off down the football. Which kind of leads me on to my post....

Over at My Time To Craft our new challenge is

"Christmas Birds"

So any bird that you see on a christmas card or in a winter scene i.e. Robbin, Cardinal, Turkey.

I've used a penguin. Technically, a penguin is a bird. The relevance to the football is that this little cute penguin is coloured in the Aston Villa Football Club colours, Claret and Blue, as it's for a a little Villa fan.

So, here it is:

Full Card
The cute lil penguin is from C.C Designs from the Meoples range. She is in a set of three and they can be found HERE. She has been coloured using Spectrum Noir pens and cut out and raised from the embossed snowflake panel. The paper is from the Docrafts Capsule Collection, Spots & Stripes - Festive. And of course.... a few snowflakes!

Untraditional christmas colours....

Good Morning!

Rain here today. I'm on dinner duty so no going out which suits me! Plus, I'm well proud of myself....
Finally managed to get the last two christmas cards done!!

WAHAY!!

Anyways, on to the post and card I'm showcasing today.
Having such a big group of family and friends, sometimes, can be a pain the backside... I always run out of idea's! It's made worse by both my Mom & Dad and I sending double cards to my Auntie & Uncle and both cousins, so that's two completely different cards I make for them... Next year, I'm having ideas on a postcard! LOL!! First up, is Abigail's card off me using a Saturated Canary image in

I do love these little ladies.

Full Card

Naughty or Nice is about right for Abigail! This looks like her too. She has been coloured using Spectrum Noir pens and cut out. That took a while as well! Snowflake embossed panel as per and of course a couple of snowflakes layered up with a ribbon and bow. I was going to put her name on it, but couldn't fit it on. Not even around the scallop circle.

Snowflakes
So, I'm entering my card into the follwoing:

1. Saturated Canary - Untraditional Christmas Colours
2. Crafty Catz - Anything Goes
3. Totally Papercrafts - Christmas using Non Traditional Colours

I'm off to prepare dinner. Catch you all later.

Traditional?

Afternoon peeps!

You know when you're just not sure about a card, like the placement of all the bits of paper and embellishments... I had this yesterday. Cut everything to size and die cut all the bits, got the ribbon ready with it's bow, went to stick it down... didn't like it. So chucked it all in the box n started again. Now, I'm hoping this falls under traditional colours as I don't seem to do traditional coloured cards?!

Anyhows, here is the masterpiece.. well...

Full Card
The only thing I kept the same was the layout! I've used a Some Odd Girl image and coloured her with Spectrum Noirs. I added a few highlights as well. Funny old pen that I used. I didn't think I had done it properly to start with then it just darker and darker lol. The snowflakes are die-cuts cut in half and stuck down behind the greeting. Some embossing and a load of pearls and gems and finished. #

Greeting & Detail
I'm entering this into the following challenges:

1. Fab 'n' Funky - Snowflakes
2. Cute Card Thursday - Christmas Catch Up!
3. Crafty Little Fairies - Let It Snow

I'm off out to see some family. Happy Crafting!

White on White with a splash of Green...

Good Evening everyone..

It's gone very cold here all of a sudden and awfully foggy too. A good time to keep warm by crafting! Although, you can't currently see my desk! Ooops...

Anyhows, onto the post.
Today I've made a couple of cards using White on White with a Splash of Green.. I've done an A5 version and a 5x7" version. Will pop a pic in the post of both. So I'm going to enter the Love to Create challenge which is... yep.. you guessed it... White on White with a Splash of Green.
Without any further ramblings, here is my card...

Full Card
Usually, I emboss the top layer with a snowflake embossing folder, but I thought I'd leave it blank. I'm undecided whether I perfer it embossed or not. The winter scene is a die cut which has been layered up with a cvouple of punched snowflakes. Added a few pearls and bit of ribbon and done. It's a pretty quick card to make but effective.

Here's a closer pic of the winter scene,

Winter Scene & Greeting
Now here's the 5x7 version. I only used one layer of the winter scene on this one as I didn't want to cover up the backing paper.

5x7 Version

Still have two christmas cards left to do with no idea what to put on them!

Creative Inspirations GDT - Traditional Christmas Colours Only

Morning Everyone!

It seems to be getting a little warmer here... still no snow!
Saying that, no rain yet either which is always good.

Onto the challenge from Creative Inspirations. This weeks challenge is

"Traditional Christmas Colours Only"
 So, Red, Gold & Green.

The sponsors for this challenge are the Stamp Fairy. I've used a sentiment rather than an image.

Here's my card:

Full Card
I really struggled with this card to be honest. I think because I've made so many cards in non-traditional colours, I find it hard to use traditional colours. Very strange!
The background is embossed with the two strips of paper from the Traditional Papers, Papermania range. I've used twine in Red and Green plus a star button.

sentiment
I'm off to finish the last two christmas cards. I have no idea what I'm doing for them!

My Time To Craft DT - Cute & Cuddly

Good Morning!
It's getting colder and colder... I hope we get snow soon!

Over at My Time To Craft we have a new challenge of

"Cute and Cuddly Christmas Animals"

This means use anything Cute & Cuddly for Christmas.

I have used a cute and cuddly bear from Di's Digi's Stamps. The image can be found HERE.
(Go to the bottom of the page and it's second in from the right)

Here's my card:

Full Card
I wanted to keep the card fairly simple hence using only a few embellishments and papers. The papers are from the Dovecraft Back To Basics II set. And, yep, you guessed it... I had to add a couple of snowflakes! I do love my snowflakes! Plus my twine and buttons....

Here's a couple more pictures:

Green with Snowflakes

Afternoon peeps!

Whilst my internet is deciding to play along, I thought I'd write this post up.

I don't know about you, but when I started doing this card I thought "Why did I offer to do this?!" I had a complete mind blank, specially with it being for a mate's mom which is off him!! Eeeeek! After much deliberation, I finally have something that I'm happy with....

Full Card
Originally, I wanted to do the card white with white glitter but you might know that the glittered snowflake vellum wouldn't show up! Grrr... I thought about the other usual christmas colours but I wasn't happy with any of them. Then I came across this green mirror card. Sorted. Finally I could use the vellum that's benn sat in my drawer for over a year! I've stitched the vellum to the green as to not have any glue marks. The ribbon is also stitched to the card with the bow being attatched by a brad. Got to add a little bit of bling. The snowflakes and flowers are die cuts with the leaves being punched out of the green card, white card and vellum. A couple of hat pins and some gems and finished.

Here's a few more pics...

Flowers & Leaves

Snowflakes
I think really that the snowflake should have been bang in the corner but beggars can't be choosers!

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

1. Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
2. Oldie but a Goodie - Ribbon and/or Lace
3. Creative Craft - Non-traditional Christmas Colours

Thanks for popping by!

Creative Inspirations GDT - Contemporary Christmas Colours

Don't you just hate it when you schedule a post and then your internet decides it's not going play!
Got to love my network provider.

Anyway, onto the main post.

For December, I am the Guest DT member over at Creative Inspirations. Very exciting!
This weeks challenge is

"Contemporary Christmas Colours"

So no Red, Green or Gold!

Here's what I've done.

Full Card
This is actually 1 of 2 cards that I've done as part of a big order. Will pop a picture on later of the other card. The papers are from two different packs, Docrafts Capsule collection Spots & Strips - Festive and Special Delivery. The image is called "Noel" and is from Saturated Canary. She can be found HERE. She has been coloured with Spectrum Noir pens, cut out and slightly raised away from the background image. Luckily, when I was sorting through my ribbon drawer, I found some ribbons that match perfectly! Wahay! And of course, a couple of snowflakes were added.

Here's a few more pics:

My Time To Craft - Special Christmas

A super late post from me! It's now 23.16pm here. Oops.
I have been busy listing stuff on eBay, it's sooooo time consuming!

Anyhow, over at My Time To Craft they have a challenge of "Special Christmas".
Now, I've just finished a lot of cards for an order so picking was very difficult..
But I decided on this one:

Full Card
 "To Special Friends"
The lampost is a digi image from Mo Manning, it can be found HERE. It has been coloured using Spectrum Noir pens. A simple card but I feel quite elegant and effective. The bow is attached to the card by the use of an eyelet and twine. Wow, was that fiddly! I added a bit of glitter to the floor as well so it looks as though the snow is sparkly.

Had to post this this morning beens as someone decided to switch the internet off without asking!

21/11/2013

Catherine....

Been a while since I used a SOG image, bearing in mind I have a folder full of them which are waiting to be coloured! Always the way...
So the image is called "Sway Mae" from Some Odd Girl.

Full Card
I have paper pieced her dress, shoes and bow but coloured in the stripe on her dress. The flowers are punched out of cordinating card. I resisted the ribbon and bow this time but I have used twine instead.

Mae
 Two challenges for this card:

1. Crafty Cardmakers - Paper Piecing
2. Creative Craft Challenges - Receipe - 1 image, 2 patterned papers & 3 flowers.

Thanks for popping by...

Tags!

You know when you first print an image out, you colour it and then you think
"Wow! These are tiny!! what am I gonna use these for?!"
Well I did that! But, I had seen the idea of tags on another blog and thought I'd give them a go.
I was admit, once I had started, they didn't seem as daunting as I thought!

Tags!
I made 6 tags altogether and used the Meoples "No Peeking" digi images from C.C Designs.
They can be found HERE. The sentiments were printed off the PC. The tags themselves are embossed and I've used die cut snowflakes.

Elf, Soldier & Tree

Reindeer, Gingerbread Man & Santa

I am entering these into the following challenges:

1. Fab 'n' Funky - Anything Goes
2. Cute Card Thursday - Anything but a Card!

Thanks for popping by...
