MTTC DT - Inspired by The Beatles

Good Morning!

Another fun filled challenge over at My Time To Craft this fortnight!! - Link is HERE
Our challenge is

"Inspired by The Beatles"

It's up to you how you interpret the theme.
I went for something a little quirky and used and SBS image - Link to store is HERE

I mainly wanted to stick to a couple of colours and the red and blue sits well together. I've used 3 different types of patterned papers to add layers. The buttons and twine are added to the chevron strip with the greeting being printed off the pc. The image I've used is ASH from Jude and the Rockers range by Rachel Sharp. I do love these images! I've got the whole set so there maybe more cards made in the same colour schemes :)

Looking forward to see how everyone makes something with the theme :)

My Time To Craft DT - Hair

Ooops! It would help if you schedule a post for the right date wouldn't it?!
For some reason, I'd scheduled it for the 11th, Monday. I have no idea clearly!

So onto this fortnights challenge at My Time To Craft, the challenge is

"Hair"

Hair coloured in none traditional colours....blue, green, pink etc...

I've gone with blue on an awesome mermaid from SBS, which you can find HERE

I went with a spotty theme I think. The light blue is embossed card and then the use of spotty papers. Of course there had to be some ribbon, twine and a bow on it. I think that's my signature thing so you know it's a card made by me lol. The pearls I added so they looked like bubbles. It works I think. The sentiment comes with the digital image.

Looking forward to seeing what colours everyone comes up with.

Simply Betty Babies

Oh WOW!
New babies from Simply Betty stamps! These are simply awesome! I had to download them asap.
I've made two cards with two of the images and I'm going to enter them into the challenge over on Simply Betty stamps which is...

"Using any of the new Teen babies create one project and do NOT use any traditional baby colors: Light Pink, Yellow, Baby Blue, Baby Green.  NOTHING pastel and nothing traditional baby!"

Here's what I've done:

I've used Spectrum Noirs to colour these lilly cuties. These images are super to colour and they will be awesome for toddler cards. I had to get some ribbon on the cards somewhere!! And a few buttons lol.

Stay tuned as I may colour the others up.

My Time To Craft DT - Superheroes!

Good Morning Peeps!

What a challenge we have instore for you this week! Eeeek! Last week I said that I was a geek with comic books and films, well this weeks challenge over at My Time To Craft is

Superheroes!!

Awesome! I did actually colour in Batman, Batgirl, Spidermouse and Ironman but opted for Batman. So here's what I've got:

The digi image is Simply Betty. If you've not been to visit the store, they have some awesome digi's! Again, coloured using Spectrum Noirs. The backing paper is from a digi download paper pack. The bat in the circle I had to cut out by hand. It turned out okay tho I think? Of course I had to add a bit of twine n a yellow button. Behind Batman, the yellow cirle is embossed too. Sentiment is printed off the pc.

I also wanted to share something with you as well. Whilst I was colouring in the superheroes, I had the idea of colouring in the Joker. Now, you can't get a digi of the Joker but you can get line art. This was drawn by Harmine (you can check her Deviantart page out HERE) but I've coloured it. I'm putting it in a frame and it's going on my friends wall in his kitchen. I have filtered it slightly as I took the picture on Instagram.

Trust me, it took me 3 and half hours to colour it!

Thanks for popping by! Please come by the blog and play along.

My Time To Craft DT - Loki vs Thor

Good Morning!

What a week. Be nice to sit with my feet up. Only thing is, no football. Boooo!
Anyways, another saturday so that means another challenge over at My Time To Craft.
This weeks challenge is:

"Use two of the same or different images on one card"
I thought I'd not have any ideas for this but the card I have done was one of those lightbulb moments. The title does slightly give it away tho lol.The images I'd sat and coloured a while ago so decided to use them.

Now, for anyone that knows me, I am a geek when it comes to my comic books and comic films. I do prefer Marvel to DC Comics tho, trust me, this causes a rift with a friend of mine! One of my fave characters is Loki, he is the brother of Thor. So when Simply Betty did the digi's, I HAD to have them!

Here's what I've come up with:

The card itself is pretty much made up with digi images. Loki and Thor are from Simply Betty and the background digi's are from Make It Crafty. I have used three images for the background, full-moon, spooky-tree and squiggle-garden. Everything has been coloured using Spectrum Noir pens. The lightening around Thor's hammer has been drawn free hand. Both Loki and Thor are raised away from the card as well.

Keep an eye out for a few more superhero cards ;)
And please come by the blog and play along :)

Something New

Good Morning..  Hope you all had a great christmas & fab new year too.  We are finally back with a new challenge over at My Time ...
