CWWC DT - Julia Spiri

Good Morning!
Can't you tell it's bank holiday.... yep it's raining!!

The challenge  for this fortnight is
"Add Flowers"

And we are sponsored by Julia Spiri - Link is HERE
I was able to use the image Birds & Hair - Link is HERE

I am trying something different with this card. I had to cut a frame down for a lego frame that I've made and the excess just so happens to for an A5 card. So I thought I'd put it to some use :)
I have left the image light with the hints of purple and green and added the flowers and gems along the edge.
I like the finished product. I think it's quite qwirky :)

Enjoy the challenge.. remember to add those flowers! :)

I wanted to colour this image which is Sugar Skull Portrait - Link is HERE - in pastel colours to show that sugar skull images can be soft and pretty and feminine :)
I've actually coloured this image in using pencils. No specific make either just pencils.
I liked how it turned out tho, really soft. I also used two circle die cuts behind the image to add definition :)

There we have it.

MTTC DT - Check It out!

Morning!
A brand new challenge over at My Time To Craft - Link is HERE

This time we have the challenge of "Check it Out!"

I do love using check paper :)

I used an image that I've had coloured up for ages! It's from Saturated Canary and is called Violet Vintage - Link is HERE
She has been coloured using Promarkers on white linen cardstock. I wanted to go with vintage looking colours, luckily when I came to add this image to a card that I had checked paper to match! Always a bonus! :) :)
The back layer is kraft card that's been embossed using a linen card. Added think blue ribbon and bow using an orange brad. The flower in the bottom right corner is a brown paper punched out lots of times with a brad in the middle. Just ruffle it up and you have your own flower.

I hope you have as much fun with the challenge that we have!

CWWC DT - Any Occasion

Hello!

A brand new challenge over at Crafting When We Can today - Link is HERE
Where the challenge is "Any Occasion".
And for this challenge we are sponsored by Art By Mi Ran - Link is HERE

The image I've used is called Rora & Butterfly - Link is HERE
I went with pinks and a hint of red and gold for the image so I could tie the background and embellishments in. The image itself has been coloured in promarkers. And I've used a bracket shaped card instead of a normal square one.
There is no sentiment on there as I've not decided what occasion to use it for yet :)

Hope you enjoy the challenge!

Least I've used it now. the image is from Aurora Wings - Link to shop is HERE
And it's called Poppy Sprite - Link to image is HERE

I've used gold card with a soft yellow backing paper on the actual tag. Added gold ribbon and a bow with some red gems and flowers and spray to add some definition. Something quite simple yet effective.

MTTC - Friendship/Friends

Good Morning!

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and Happy New Year.
Mine was very quiet, just a nice relax.

So, with the start of 2016, we have a new challenge over at My Time To Craft - Link is HERE
And the challenge is

"Friendship/Friends"

I've used an image from Faery Ink. I'd love to tell you what it's called but I can't remember!
Both girls have been coloured using Promarkers and I've cut round the image to zone in on the two girls. I did struggle with the background as I'd coloured the image before doing the card. I had to get some blue in there! Added the gems, flowers & washi tape for extra details. Sentiment has been printed off the pc. Here's a few more pics:

Enjoy the challenge!
Back with a bang :)

Monday Greetings DT - Use a Flower and/or Brad

Hello!

A little late posting this as I thought I'd done it ready to post but obviously not!

Anyhow's, this weeks challenge over at Monday Greetings is "Use a flower and/or brads" - Link is HERE
We are sponsored by the awesome Rick St Dennis for this week - Link to store is HERE
I got to use the image Miss Razz L. Dazzle - Link is HERE

I went with slightly brighter colours for this to make it a little more bold and in your face lol. As soon as I coloured her up my mom went "I'll have that for my friend" hahaha. She does like to get in there quick! I was going to use a brad on my bow but I couldn't find the pot until after I'd stuck the bow down and there was the pot of brads. Always the way! She's been coloured using Promarkers.

Hope to see you join in the fun!

DTBS DT - Tic Tac Toe

Morning!

A new challenge over at Dare To Be Sassy today which is Tic Tac Toe - Link is HERE

So, we would like you to use any 3 in a row off the board - Board is below.
I went for the top line of Flower, Spider/spider Web, Spooky Fence.

Here's what I've come up with,

Using Wicked Honey - Image is HERE
I've layered her on to silver spider web card, die cut a fence out and added flowers where I've twisted the stems up. Wicked Honey has been coloured using Promarkers on Linen effect card. I love the effect you get. Sentiment was off line but I think it's prefect for a little witch :)
The black spider web in the corner is also die cut.

Hope to all those "wicked" creations on the blog ;)

MTTC DT - Recipe

EEEEEKKK!!!
My post is a week late because nothing I was making I was liking!! Then I came across this little cute bee and hey presto! Job done!
So, the challenge over at MTTC is fortnight - you have a week left now - us a recipe of 1 die-cut, 2 images & 3 flowers - link for blog is HERE
So my die cut is the scallop with the inside, my images are one bee that's been pasted and flipped over so there's now two and my 3 yellow flowers. I added a ribbon too as it looked a little bland :-/
The little bee's are from Melonheadz I think and have been coloured in using Spectrum Noir pens :)
A super quick post from me this week. Next week we will be back with another super challenge so please do stop by the blog :) enjoy!

Sassy Studio Designs - Sponsorship

Morning Sassy Fans!
Another sponsors post from me today :)
This one is for The Outlawz and the challenge is "Twisted Easel" - Link is HERE.
I think I've found a new favourite SSD image, Sugar Skull Portrait!!! - Image link is HERE.

You can't see on the pic but the navy backing card is embossed. The red flowers, leaves and silver swirl are all die cuts. I added the pearls to the middle of the flowers to add some extra detail... or to cover the glue! LOL The image itself has been coloured with copics and promarkers. Had to add a bow as it looked  too plain. I also wanted to keep the colour scheme down to just a few colours.

Really enjoyed making this twisted easel card. Hadn't made one for ages!
I hope you join in too :)

MTTC DT - Sympathy

Good Morning!

A brand new challenge over at MTTC this week which is "Sympathy".
I never really make any sympathy cards so this was a challenge for me. I decided before I started that I wanted to make the card quite CAS.

The card is from Ikea and is 10x15cm in size. The grey dots are on the card already. I printed the "with sympathy" off the pc on to vellum and stuck it to the fancy oval frame. The flowers and pearls were added afterwards as the card was too plain.

Please come by the blog..even if you don't play along :)

Sassy Studio DT - DTBST #277

Wow! Oh my....
I'm on the Sassy Studio DT! EEEKKKK!! How exciting!

Now that's out of the way, let's get down to the craftiness ;)
So a new week so a challenge over at DTBST. This week the challenge is...

"Have it your way" - so use your favourite colour combo.

Now usually I go for reds and blues - it's as near as dammit to my favourite football team's colours but at the moment I'm loving green, which is also another of my football team's colours. I do tend to use a lot of black to mat and layer too. The image I've used is Showgirl and she can be found HERE - just scroll down :) I've coloured her with a mix of Spectrum Noir pens and Promarkers. i couldn't decide clearly! The oval behind her, was white but I Spectrum Noir'd that. The white didn't sit right against the green. Flowers, ribbon, bow, brad and pearls/gems I've added for extra detail. The sentiment I've printed off the pc.

There you have it. A few more pictures of the detail and the awesome watermark that Samantha has customized for me. I absolutely LOVE it! Thank you so much :)

I hope I've inspired you to pop by the blog and come play along.

Lilac Flowers

Hello! I'm sure I seem to be blogging later and later LOL!
What I really want to be doing is reading my book. I've nearly finished the fourth book of the Caster Chronicles, the first book is the film "Beautiful Creatures" Brilliant books!

Anyways, I'm showing you a card tonight that I've made for Mother's Day

The image is from Aurora Wings and I love her! She's one of the first images I brought and I was a lilly horrified of colouring it in but I'm glad I did! I went for subtle tones for a change. I love the lilac and green together. The image is called Gardenia and can be found HERE. I've coloured her with promarkers too. Not a spectrum noir in sight! It was too intricate for them LOL. Wanted to kepp it simple and emphasize the image. I added some really tiny pearls to mirror the image.

I'd like to enter this creation in to the following:

1. Passion for Promarkers - For a Special Lady

2. Cute Card Thursday - Celebrate!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

My Time To Craft DT - Oriental

Good Morning!
Hope everyone is well in crafty world :)

Straight in to today's post from me.. This week over at MTTC the challenge is

"Oriental"

Brilliant challenge theme! I do love oriental but never seem to make many cards on this theme although I have lots of oriental images and papers. So this week I got to play with some old(ish) stash. The image is new though... loving the Lacy Sunshine images atm...

The image I've used is Emily's Kimono which can be found HERE.I've coloured her using a mix of promarkers, copics and spectrum noir pens. Sentiment has been printed off the pc. I had to add a button and twine! I've not added any to a card for a while. Added the flowers and pearl for a bit more detail.

Happy with the look of the card.. have been wanting to use those papers for a while!
Hope you can come play along :)

Good Morning Everyone... Hope you are all well and staying out of the cold and snow!
We've not had much here but where I was working yesterday they had a fair bit.

Anyways, on to this weeks challenge at MTTC which is

"Bugs or Insects"
These must be part of your main image.

I struggled with this as I was drawing a blank. But I did this for my Mom's friend

Wanted to not over do it so punched out the butterflies and added the pearls for the bodies. The gems I used to make the butterflies look like they were leaving a trail. the flowers I had in my stash.

A super quick post from me.. I'm off out with the Boy.
Enjoy the challenge!

Crafting When We Can DT - Anything But A Card

Happy New Year To You All!

I hope you had a lovely christmas and celebrated the New Year in, We had a quiet one.
That's what you get for working in retail :)

So a brand new challenge over at CWWC this fortnight. this fortnight we are sponsored by Fitztown. The image I've used is Fae 2 which can be found HERE

I was particularly quite excited by this challenge. I've had these box frames for ages and wanted to do domething different with them, so I came up with this....

You'll have to excuse the pictures, It's really hard to photograph!

I've coloured her using Spectrum Noir pens. I went for colours that were subtle but bold at the same time. I've mounted her on to white card and raised her away from the background so she is raised away from the frame around the picture. I was going to add a saying but decided on the flowers instead. The pearls are coloured using Spectrum Noir pens as well. They dry super quick!

Here's some more pictures....

Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.
Have fun!

Something New

Good Morning..  Hope you all had a great christmas & fab new year too.  We are finally back with a new challenge over at My Time ...
