Crafts & Me - Creative Fingers DT

Good Morning!

This is going to be a super quick post from me, lots to do.
The list IS getting smaller! YAY!!

We have a new challenge over at Creative Fingers - Link is HERE
As always the theme is "Anything Goes"
And we are sponsored by Crafts & Me and Wink Wink Ink.

I've used a Hannah Lynn image - Butterflies of Hope for my image.
You can find the image HERE

The image is printed on to kraft card and coloured using Marco Rafine Pencils.
First go using these, I'm impressed! First time colouring on kraft too! eeeek!
The 3D  butterflies are punched out and layered to make them 3D.

Pretty short and pretty sweet post!
 Thanks for popping by!
Enjoy :)

I'm also playing along with the following challenges :

We Are All Stars - Release & Blog Hop

Gooooooood Morning Sassy Fans!

The new release and blog hop is finally HERE!!! Woohhoooo...
So how many of you guessed right as to what the images are? There are some Absolute Stunners in the new release!

First of all, we have a blog hop going on today. The list of where you need to go or where you have come from will be further down this post :)

We also have a blog challenge over at Sassy Studio Designs to coincide with the new release.
Challenge Theme is ANYTHING GOES.

We also have some ways of being put into a draw to win one of the new images by commenting on the Daily Teasers on the SSD blog each day and by commenting on our blog posts through the hop today. You will receive the image each DT member has used for the release. Very exciting!!

So, we are assigned an image each to showcase. I've had the pleasure of using Day At The Park and she is soooo super cute!

I struggled with this image as to what to do as I had the idea that she would be sat in front of a garden or flowerbeds but I couldn't pull that off.. You know when you know that something just isn't quite right?! anyways, I then came up with this. It's CAS but yet striking with the colours, especially the yellow. Had to get a yellow glitter butterfly in too! The butterfly background is embossed from Crafts Too. Only about the second time I've used it lol.

I've also made some creations using the other new releases. They too are awesome!

My Time To Craft DT - Bugs or Insects

Good Morning Everyone... Hope you are all well and staying out of the cold and snow!
We've not had much here but where I was working yesterday they had a fair bit.

Anyways, on to this weeks challenge at MTTC which is

"Bugs or Insects"
These must be part of your main image.

I struggled with this as I was drawing a blank. But I did this for my Mom's friend

Wanted to not over do it so punched out the butterflies and added the pearls for the bodies. The gems I used to make the butterflies look like they were leaving a trail. the flowers I had in my stash.

A super quick post from me.. I'm off out with the Boy.
Enjoy the challenge!

My Time To Craft DT - Love Is All Around

Good Morning!

Some great creations for last weeks challenge using stripes. This week is completely different again over at MTTC with a theme of

"Love Is All Around"

The interpretations are endless!

I went with a wedding card and candle. The colour scheme and image are adaptations to what was on the invites.

The image I flipped to add the wording in the middle and punched out the butterflies. The pearls were added to the bodies and behind to make them look like they are flying around. The candle is exactly the same.

Have fun with the challenge!

My Time To Craft DT - Easel Card

Good Morning!

It's that time of the week again for another challenge over at My Time To Craft. This week we have an awesome challenge,

"Easel Cards"

It's been a while since I made one of these but my days did I enjoy it! It's given me an idea for another one though.
Full Card

I'm still not convinced on her hair tho. For blonde, I think it's a bit bright?! I also wanted to step away from the norm as well and use some different colours. I always end up using the same colours and I have sooooooo much paper I can use. The image is a Saturated Canary digi image. I do love these images. I've used quite a few different embellishments too. Think I've gone a bit OTT. The butterflies have been punched out. I love the sentiment on this card too. Again was printed off the computer, "Style is knowing who you are, what you want, and not giving a damn"

Here's a few more pictures:

Off to have a look round a few blogs..

Blooms and Pearls

Good Morning!

For a change, it's actually dry here and the sun has popped his head out...I spoke to soon. It's raining.
I do love the inbetween seasons, winter into spring, summer into autum are my faves. You see some most gorgeous colours.. which is the inspiration I used to make this card.

I wanted something quite bright and fresh for this card but still a hint of winter, so the yellow represents the sprint coming and the purple represents the last ends of winter.

This is what I've done...

Full Card
The circle is die-cut out of both the papers and the whole panel is raised. I wasn't sure on the bow to start with but it does tie in.. haha.. no pun intended there! The butterflies are punched out with pearls been added to the bodies. I really hope Mary likes it!

Here's a few more pics...

I'm going to enter this into the following challenges:

1. Creative Inspirations - Blooms & Pearls
2. Fab 'n' Funky - Let's Celebrate

Time to finish off some wedding invites then chill n watch a movie...

Warm Winter Wishes...

...bbbbbrrrrr!! It's cold and we aren't even half way through November!

Today I thought I'd make a light grey and blue card, not sure the greeting of "Warm Winter Wishes" goes though as it's quite and icy colour scheme. But anyways, it's stuck down now so hey ho.

Full Card
The image itself isn't really a christmas image but I think I've got away with it. It's from Crafts and Me and it's by Hannah Lynn. The backing paper hasn't shown up in the picture but it is glitter up. I also used liquid pearls on the hair to highlight it as well.

Greeting, Snowflake & Glitter backing paper
I'm playing along with the following challenges for this card,

1. Totally Paper Crafts - Use Glitter (The backing paper)
2. 2 sisters Challenge - Christmas Sparkle
3. Charisma Cardz - Anything Goes
4. Crafty Little Fairies - Christmas in November

Thanks for popping by!

Shaped card

So, my blog has decided that it won't allow me to upload any pictures. How very rude of it. So, it seems to be working now and there will be a few posts for me..

First up, 1 challenge for "flower power" and 2 challenges for "shaped cards". I've used a bracket card but cut the straight edge. I don't like one edge being straight, what's that all about?!

Anyway, the card:

I have gone a bit OTT on the flowers! LOL The image is from Saturated Canary. I must admit, I didn't like these to start with but now I love them! Much prefer digi's to stamps as well.

Here's a few close ups:

Flowers

Sentiment
The 2 challenges I'm entering this card into are:

1. Charisma Cardz
2. Totally Papercrafts
3. One Stop Crafts - Flower Power

Off to write up a few more posts.

Floral Mother's Day

Good Morning!

Lot's of floral's this morning.. and ANOTHER Mother's Day card. This card was previously showcased in an earlier blog post but it was not part of the challenge. So I'm going to use it for two challenges.

I still have 2 more Mother's Day orders plus my own to do off my bro and me. Never had to do so many!

Onto the card..

Full Card
I very nearly gave my butterfly punch to my mate.... sooooooooo glad I didn't! Think it adds that finishing touch? And the flowers, well... I found twisting the wires together to keep the flowers in place worked brilliantly. Attatching it was quite tricky tho! But, about time I used up some flowers & pearls out the flower box (It's still full by the way!)

The challenges I am entering into are:

1. Creative Craft - Mother's Day
2. Oldie But A Goodie - Feeling Floral

A few more pictures of the card.

Flower Detail

Bow & Butterfly

Another Full Card Picture
The colour looks better in the last picture. Always the way! No doubt I will be back later with another post.

Straight into it then. Shaped cards, brilliant challenge as just this morning before work I finished 3 Mother's Day cards, all for 1 order, on 3 different shaped cards. I am entering only the first card into the Cupcake Craft Challenge but what to share the other 2 cards with you.

So the card I'm entering is this one:

It's for a Nan (obviously) but I've used a snowflake shaped card. These, I ♥ !! Wanted to keep the cards simple but elegant as well.

This was the first card out the set to be made. The other 2 are as follows:

Bracket Card

Scallop Card

All simple and elegant. They were so popular, that I now have another order for one. That's without even doing 2 for my Mommyo! Think the last one is my favourite!

Totally Tilda - Use Kraft

Better late than never hey! Although, probably would help if I could remember where I put my Kraft card! It was right in the bottom of the drawer... isn't this always the way?!

Was so restless yesterday that in the end I made my card for the Totally Tilda Challenge. Although, when I started, didn't think I'd actually finish it! But I did. Did take some time cutting all the little pieces out tho. Must have some patience.

So here's what I came up with :

Ingredients :

Image - Tilda by Magnolia. Image coloured using pro markers. Greeting - stamped onto card. Embellishments - Pearls, Butterflies, Flowers & Leaves, Ribbon and Bow. Card Stock - Kraft, Navy and  Gingham Tan Paper. Scallop's & circles are die-cut. Martha Stewart border punch.

Here's a better look at the details :

Totally Tilda & Bunting

Well as it says in the title, Totally Tilda & Bunting.. Does exactly what it say's on the tin! LOL

Right then, so the Totally Tilda blog is having a DT call.. with a picture as inspiration. I've used the colours as inspiration, well as near as I could get.

The idea for bunting came when I was sat in my Auntie's last sunday and my cousin was cutting out the shapes. I said "oh, I could put tilda's on each one n put Abigail's name on it. She can put it in her room then" so that's what I have done. Each one represents what Abigail does. She loves football, she always picking flowers or dressing up in pretty dresses.

Took a while to make mind! Here are some close up pictures of the indiviual pieces:

Gymnastic Tilda, Spring Tilda, Tilda with Flowers

Sitting Tilda, Dressed up Tilda

Football Tilda, Heart Apron Tilda

Each piece I've tried to do different and add different detail to it. Think I've managered to pull it off!

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

31/07/2012

Wish it, dream it, do it.

Went blog hopping to get some inspiration and I came across a blog challenge with the theme of "In the country". Luckily for me, it was a Magnolia blog, as I was hoping to use a Tilda. The colours are from an inspirational pic and the rest is done from imagenation ;) I had a punch ages ago that my Mommyo brought me, used it a few times but used it loads the last couple of cards I made! I do love it tho especially when you can add a little butterfly to sit on the petal.

So without further ado, here it is :

Flowers have been punched out and layered along with the butterflies. I added gems to the centres of the flowers and pearls to the butterflies for bodies. The clouds and swirls have been die cut. The image is 2 stamps which have been layered and coloured using promarkers.

Close up's of detail
So the challenge's I'm entering this creation into are:

Just Magnolia - In the Country
Totally Tilda - Summer Fun
Cupcake Craft Challenge - The Great Outdoors
Magnolia-Licious - Inspiration
