MTTC DT - Flowers

Good Morning! 

It's Saturday and I'm off to work.... booooo! 

But before I leave, here's my post for the new Challenge over at My Time To Craft - Link is HERE 

This week we want to see "Flowers" 

This should be your main image :) 

I'm showing you something different today as it's not a card. 

This is a box I made for Mothers Day for a friend at work to give to her daughter from the boys. 

The image is a "sunflower" digi image from Make It Crafty - Link is HERE 

You'll see in the next lot of pics that the sunflowers have been layered. I cut and coloured the specific bits that I wanted to layer and cut them out. I think there's 5 or 6 layers. 

The whole image and quote is in a 23cm by 23cm white IKEA frame.

Lots of big pictures! I had to get the detail in to show you :)

DTBST DT - Say what?

Morning! 

A new challenge over at Dare To Be Sassy Thursday this week with the challenge of "what'd you say?" So use a sentiment where it be a sassy sentiment or not - Link to blog HERE

I went with a Sassy image but my own sentiment, well, it's what the zodiac sign for Leo is :) 

It's in a 10" by 10" box frame (Ikea) love these frames! The image has been coloured using Spectrum Noir pens. The wording was done on the computer in pinks and black. This is actually for a friends birthday and she's seen it cuz she would have seen it anyways, hence the colour scheme as she's a pink person lol

Crafting When We Can DT - Anything But A Card

Happy New Year To You All! 

I hope you had a lovely christmas and celebrated the New Year in, We had a quiet one. 

That's what you get for working in retail :) 

So a brand new challenge over at CWWC this fortnight. this fortnight we are sponsored by Fitztown. The image I've used is Fae 2 which can be found HERE. 

I was particularly quite excited by this challenge. I've had these box frames for ages and wanted to do domething different with them, so I came up with this....

You'll have to excuse the pictures, It's really hard to photograph! 

I've coloured her using Spectrum Noir pens. I went for colours that were subtle but bold at the same time. I've mounted her on to white card and raised her away from the background so she is raised away from the frame around the picture. I was going to add a saying but decided on the flowers instead. The pearls are coloured using Spectrum Noir pens as well. They dry super quick!
