Something New

Good Morning.. 

Hope you all had a great christmas & fab new year too. 

We are finally back with a new challenge over at My Time To Craft - Link is HERE.

The theme for this challenge is "Something New" 

I've recently purchased a Silhouette Portrait.. Oh my.. I LOVE it! 

Currently cutting something out as I type. 

So my "New" is this wine bottle that I vinyled up with a quote. 

There's three of them as the guy who ordered has three daughters. 

Safe to say, they all loved them. 

The quote reads... 

"A Daughter is someone you laugh with, dream with and love with all your heart" 

Finished with a bow and cork lights. I love these. Such an awesome idea. The switch is in the cork to turn the lights on and off. 

These bottles have also been frosted with a frosting spray. Love the effect too.

Poison Ivy....

Happy New Year to You All! 

I'm showing a card today which is finally a card! 

I've had the image coloured in from 2016.. shocking..

It's an awesome Poison Ivy style digi from Cute As A Button - Link is HERE

She's been coloured in using Promarkers.

I have used the sketch from Sketch Saturday but I flipped it round as I really wanted to use the spiral things and flowers. 

I do love the red, green and white colour scheme. Only Poison Ivy could get away with it not looking like christmas!! 

I am pretty chuffed with the outcome.

Get the use out of those dies!

  I've used a onesie die that I think is from The Greeting Farm. 

I must say, I do love this die. The possibilities are endless with it. 

The card itself needed to me neutral hence the mint green, lemon, white and grey. 

The card blank itself is also embossed with the swiss dots embossing folder.

I went with a black and white spotty background with the splash of colour as the blue ribbon. 

I've coloured the eyes, dress and headband in blue too.  I've used Marco Rafine pencils.

I've added no sentiment to this card purely because it will probably be my Auntie's birthday card. 

She loves Dragons! 

 Anyways, here is what I made....

Image is coloured using spectrum noir pens. I went with non traditional colours, I mean how many times do you see teal and orange toadstools?! 

The orange paper is from a paper pad with the purple paper a digital download. 

Added a ribbon, bow. twine and a button and some gems. 

The Sentiment I'll add later on :)

Retro Selfie

Another Saturday and time for another challenge over at My Time To Craft - Link is HERE
This fortnight's challenge is 

 

Sequins and/or Buttons

Here’s what I’ve come up with :)

I have used an image by Kenny K called Retro Selfie - Link is HERE

I've coloured the image using Spectrum Noir Pens.

I decided to use sequins on this project beens I use buttons a LOT! I also decided to do a shaker card which I haven't made in ages. It was really fun! 

The shaker surround, I cut out to look like a poloroid photo. Pretty cool eh?!
I’ve added extra detail to the card as well by adding a die cut "hello" and a navy bow.

One For the Girls

I've been lucky enough to use the image Bea and Tea - Link is HERE  

Rather than using the images on one card, I decided to make two! 

Here's what I've come up with....

 I went with a CAS look for these cards as I love the images, I wanted them to stand out more. 

I think I've achieved that! 

Both girls have been coloured in using Spectrum Noir Pens. 

I am going to post the colours used as sometimes trying to the find the right combinations is hard! 

The Sentiments are both printed onto the cardstock as well. 

I've added the die-cut borders to the tops and stickles and pearls for extra details. 

Here's a better look at the cards with the pen combos underneath...

Skin : FS3, FS1, FS2 | Hair : GB7, EB3, OR2, OR1 

Hat & Dress Blue : TB9, TB8, TB4 | Bow & Dress White : BGR3, BGR2, BGR1.

This fortnight's challenge is 

No DP's! ( No Designer Papers)

Here’s what I’ve come up with :)

I have used an image by Make It Crafty called Roxi and it’s been coloured in using Promakers and Spectrum Noir pens. I've also used Spectrum Noir refills to make my background. 

I didn't want to add embossing and wondered if it would work. I got a tiny amount on the end of the pipet and just splattered it over the card. It's subtle but I like it.
I’ve added extra detail to the card by using a wooden saying "Happy" and a purple bow.

I've tried to use different colours other than blue, black, white or red.

I do like this colour combo tho. The image has been coloured using Promarkers.

I've not added a greeting to it so it can be used for any occasion.

Crafts & Me - Creative Fingers DT

Good Morning! 

This is going to be a super quick post from me, lots to do.

I've used a Hannah Lynn image - Butterflies of Hope for my image.

The image is printed on to kraft card and coloured using Marco Rafine Pencils. 

First go using these, I'm impressed! First time colouring on kraft too! eeeek!

The 3D  butterflies are punched out and layered to make them 3D.

DTBST - Add A Sentiment

Hello Sassy Fans!

This week we want you to add a sentiment to your project. 

I went with Cleopatra Portrait :) 

She has been coloured in using Spectrum Noir pens and I've cut out certain layers to 3D her.

The sentiment is part of the set with the image. 

Added black and gold ribbon for a bit of detail.

Our theme is "Tic-Tac-Toe" 

So here is the board. You can use any line as long as it is a line: 

I've gone with - Ribbon or lace / Flowers / Die cut

I wanted to colour this image which is Sugar Skull Portrait - Link is HERE - in pastel colours to show that sugar skull images can be soft and pretty and feminine :) 

I've actually coloured this image in using pencils. No specific make either just pencils. 

I liked how it turned out tho, really soft. I also used two circle die cuts behind the image to add definition :) 

There we have it.

MTTC DT - Girlie

Morning! 

What a horrible wet day! 

Bad day for me today, I have to go and buy a new die cutting machine as my other one broke! 

This is the second one I've had in two years and they've both broken with the same fault :( 

Anyways, on to a new challenge over at My Time To Craft - Link is HERE 

This challenge we want to see "Girlie" - doesn't have to be pink!! 

Although, I've gone with pink only 'cos it was on the order ;) 

I've used a super cute Lili Of The Valley square topper card.

The papers are a digital download from Etsy. I do love a spotty paper! 

Added some glittery washi tape, gems, buttons, bows and "Abby" is die cut along with the "1" on the pram. 

No colouring involved in this creation! 

I hope you all play along with the challenge. 

I'm off to buy a new machine! *insert crying face*

I've a couple of cards to show you today for the Sassy Studio Sponsorship. 

First up is an image I coloured ages ago! I loved her as soon as I seen her. 

And I thought the sentiment was perfect :)

The papers are a digital download from Etsy, the sentiment is printed from the pc and Catwomen has been coloured using Spectrum Noir pens. She has also been completely cut out. Had to get a bit of glitter and ribbon in there ;)

I used Mad Hatter Buttercream Babe, again, I'd had her coloured up for ages. 

I went with a little bit of an outside the lines idea with this. 

I like it tho! LOL 

She's been coloured up using promarkers in mad hatter ish colours. 

The papers matched perfectly I think, then I am biased as I love this card! 

The little wooden wording sets the whole lot off I think :) :)

Navy, Pink & Cake

Good Morning! 

Hope you are all well and not too cold. 

It's currently -2 here in the middle of the UK! 

Anyways, I'm here today to show you a card I've made for my cousin's birthday. 

I am going to add her age but I couldn't remember how old she is! Ooops! 

Turns out she's 13..... 

So, here's the card:

I can not remember the last time I used my Spectrum Noir pens but I did on this. I had forgotten how good they are! 

The spotted and chrevon papers are a digital download from etsy. 

Think I will die cut "13" out in pink and add it to lopsided spotty paper.

I went quite CAS with this card as I wanted her to stand out. The silver strips down the side is actually glitter sellotape form IKEA. A great use for it I thought :)

SSD Progressive Challenge - Valentine Honey

Good Evening!

She is such a Sassy Lady! 

I went with a black and white theme with a hint of red. I HAD to colour her hair in red!! 

I also had to use my red scrabble tiles on this card just for something a little different with the greeting. Both the hearts are punched out of glitter card with a gem added to the large black heart for extra detail. The bikini she is wearing is also glittery. I used a Sakura black glitter gel pen on her. 

I had fun making this card!

MTTC DT - Check It out!

Morning! 

A brand new challenge over at My Time To Craft - Link is HERE 

 

This time we have the challenge of "Check it Out!" 

 

I do love using check paper :) 

 

 

I used an image that I've had coloured up for ages! It's from Saturated Canary and is called Violet Vintage - Link is HERE 

She has been coloured using Promarkers on white linen cardstock. I wanted to go with vintage looking colours, luckily when I came to add this image to a card that I had checked paper to match! Always a bonus! :) :) 

The back layer is kraft card that's been embossed using a linen card. Added think blue ribbon and bow using an orange brad. The flower in the bottom right corner is a brown paper punched out lots of times with a brad in the middle. Just ruffle it up and you have your own flower. 

I hope you have as much fun with the challenge that we have!

I have used the brilliant Bal Masque 

I wanted to go with a very CAS look with a striking sentiment on this card along with minimal colour. Colours I opted for are grey, red and brown for the hair. Added the bow and the gems around the sentiment.
